Growing up gardening on Canada’s East Coast I developed a keen appreciation for the relationship between people and their landscapes. The connection to the land runs deep when growing seasons are short and rocky terrain a challenge. It is with this passion that I began my own landscape business.

During the past ten years I have had the opportunity to design and build under the direction of several landscape designers and architects most notably at Harvard’s Landscape Institute. My clients, while predominantly in the historic neighborhoods of Salem, Massachusetts now extend from Gloucester to Cambridge.

I enjoy meeting with clients and collaborating with architects, masons, and others in the process of designing and building landscapes. I strive for design that reflects my client’s desires, meets well the requirements of the land, and artfully engages the height and scope of available space and vistas. For me the best then takes place; when the major decisions are made and the planting begins. I work alongside an experienced staff providing installation and maintenance to a high degree of excellence.

It is my good fortune to do what I love – share an imagination for a landscape and then build it.
